A note from your fragrance designer:
"The image I had when developing this oil was a warm, elegant old-fashioned library/study. A figure sits at his desk, reading letters in the flickering light. This figure doesn’t have to be Santa - I’ll leave it up to your imagination.
Although Father Christmas is often is often portrayed as a caricature, I wanted to think of this smell in a very realistic way - the clash of hearth smells with the fruitiness of port; the scent of dry paper against wet snowflakes hitting the windows
Cinnamon of course had to feature - but I was keen to stay away from the typical cinnamon accords, instead choosing to blend cassia bark with incense (Boswellia Seratta), clove bud, Curcuma and cashmere materials.
An unusual feature of this fragrance oil compared to some others is that it is complex in the top notes, with various scents intermingling and changing over time." -Harry

The blend is what’s known as a Hybrid-natural: Far more natural materials than you would find in 99% of fragrance oils on the market but supported where necessary with safe synthetics. These are molecules (most found in naturals anyway but extracted from other places) that have stood the test of time for their record on safety (for example, no polycyclic musks)

Handmade in Hertfordshire
The great thing about our sustainable wooden vases is they can be used again by purchasing another refill capsule, or repurposed for a dried flower arrangement! (For fresh flowers simply wash out and replace the empty capsule for holding fresh water as the inside of the vase should be kept dry.)

Mellow Moon and Hertswood collaboration
Hertswood turn and carve these natural wood containers in a workshop in Tring which runs on 100% renewable energy. We just love that they responsibly source all their wood locally. These vases are made from fence post offcuts and pieces from Ashridge estate.

A note from your wood turner:
A trees heartwood is the oldest part, at the centre of the trunk. This is where the stories live.
Imagine a tree that is 500 years old, about middle age for an oak, its heart wood was growing during the reign of Henry VIII and Shakespeare had not even picked up a quill yet.
Fascinated by the stories that live in our trees and with a desire for those stories to live on, Hertswood creates wooden craft from a workshop in Tring, Herts, using local, ethically sourced wood.
The beauty of these products lies not only in the aesthetic, but from the history of the tree it came from, let me share those stories with you...
